PILGRIM CHURCH: MARY IMMACULATE PARISH OF MOONWALK VILLAGE

Mary Immaculate Parish at Moonwalk Village, Las Pinas City

The lenten season ushered in the influx of pilgrims to flock in churches to do the Visita Iglesia. This church is highly popular since it was declared as a Pilgrim Church where the faithful can reflect and pray for God's guidance and mercy.

The chapel found at the entryway on the way to the church

This mini chapel was constructed using indigenous materials with native roofing made of sasa palms. It is well ventilated and airy as it is situated in an open space.

This place of meditation has quaint chairs and a main altar solely made of wood. The rustic design gives out a feeling of calmness and good ambiance.

What makes the place popular is the natural feel that one experiences upon entry to this place of worship - especially during the lenten season.

Catholics attend mass during Maundy Thursday

Prayers and acts of piety are shown by the flock when they attend mass and do the 14 station of the cross to reflect on the sufferings, death, and resurrection of Christ.
